Gobi Manchurian ;)

* Cauliflower(Gobi), 1 medium * Chopped Ginger , 2 tsp * Garlic, very coarsely chopped, 2 tsp * Green chilli, as per tase * Maida, 1/2 cup * Cornflour, 3 tsp * Oil to fry * Chopped Onion, 1 * Capsicum, 1/2 * Soy sauce, 4 tsp * Tomato Sauce, 4 tsp * Red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp * Turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp * Salt to taste * Coriander leaves
Preparation: * Break cauliflower into florettes; wash and microwave on high for 2 minutes * Prepare a thin batter of flour and corn flour, add 1/2 of the ginger, add 1/2 of garlic, add chilli powder, and add salt and turmeric. * Add gobi florettes into the batter, mix thoroughly such that the florettes are completely covered with a layer of batter * Fry the florettes until they get dark * Use a sauce pan; add a teaspoon of oil * When the oil is hot, add onions, and stir fry until the onions are caramelised * Add green chilli, capsicum and remaining salt, ginger and garlic * Add the soy sauce and tomato sauce and stir for a couple of minutes, continue stirring until mixture comes to boil * Add fried florettes and mix well such that the sauce blend gets well mixed and coat the florettes. Stir fry it on low flame for 5 minutes to make the cauliflower florettes crispy * Take off from flame, add chopped coriander leaves |
